Hello internet. Welcome to Rosie Today!
I am a 24-year-old author from the future, writing to you from Atlanta, Georgia, and beyond. My intention for this blog is simply to find my voice while attempting to outrun my own idiocracy—so forgive the imperfect syntax and the occasional run-on sentence. I’ve always had an affinity for literature, though I lost my aptitude somewhere in the rambunctious rumble of adolescence and the sharp cliff into adulthood. Now, as I rediscover my passion, I like to riddle my stories with nods to the unconscious, drawing heavily on my explorations of Carl Jung’s The Red Book.
I discovered The Red Book while studying abroad in Valparaíso, Chile, after the signs and symbols of my solitude in Latin America led me to Jesus. I found Christ through an unconventional, yet destined, path; through a bit of research, I realized the symbols surfacing in my mind were Jungian archetypes of the unconscious. As I recollect my beginning, I enjoy pairing lived experiences with underlying truths—attempting, at least, to juxtapose time with matter.
